Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Procurement Specialist to join our team at Axelon. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for analyzing and understanding material requirements, converting MRP messages to purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of raw materials to meet production demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and understand material requirements to convert MRP messages to purchase orders and plans
  • Interface with production, sales, purchasing, and suppliers to schedule purchase orders of raw materials
  • Host supplier calls and in-person meetings to address performance issues
  • Manage safety stock levels to minimize downtime due to shortages
  • Implement and manage supplier VMI programs to reduce inventory
Requirements
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience in the electronics industry with material planning experience using MRP, ERP
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTable and VLOOKUP
Preferred Qualifications
  • APICS CPIM and or ISM CPM Certification
  • Prior experience in production control or planning, sourcing, and/or material control environment in the electronics industry
