Job Description

**Job Title:** Procurement Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Acro Service Corp. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing and understanding material requirements to convert MRP messages into raw material purchase orders and plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and understand material requirements to convert MRP messages into raw material purchase orders and plans.
  • Experience using SAP to manage and track procurement activities.
  • Identify and react to short-term material plans that do not meet customer requirements.
  • Interface with production, sales, purchasing, and suppliers to schedule purchase orders of raw materials.
  • Host supplier calls and in-person meetings to address supplier performance issues.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to predict and respond to potential issues before they impact production.
  • Work with Quality and Supplier Quality teams to resolve manufacturing material quality and supply issues.
  • Manage safety stock levels to minimize downtime due to shortages and prevent inventory overstocking.
  • Implement and manage supplier VMI programs, including EDI, to reduce inventory levels.
  • Assist with cycle counting and yearly physical inventory.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the electronics industry, with material planning experience using MRP and ERP systems.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Additional years of electronic component buying experience.
  • Prior experience in production control or planning, sourcing, and/or material control environments, preferably in the electronics industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTable and VLOOKUP.
  • APICS CPIM and/or ISM CPM Certification.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
