Procurement Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
As a Procurement Specialist at Acro Service Corp, your role will encompass:
• Evaluating and interpreting MRP communications to formulate raw material purchase orders and strategies that align with production and forecast demands.
• Utilizing SAP for effective material management.
• Recognizing and addressing immediate material plans that fail to satisfy customer needs.
• Collaborating with production, sales, purchasing, and suppliers to coordinate the scheduling of raw material purchase orders.
• Conducting supplier meetings and calls when performance metrics do not meet established standards.
• Employing strategic foresight to anticipate potential issues and mitigate downtime caused by material shortages.
• Partnering with Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality teams to resolve manufacturing material quality and supply challenges.
• Overseeing safety stock levels to reduce downtime while avoiding excessive inventory accumulation.
• Implementing and managing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs, including EDI, to optimize inventory levels.
• Assisting in cycle counting and annual physical inventory processes.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 3 years of procurement experience in the electronics sector, with a background in material planning utilizing MRP and ERP systems.
Preferred Attributes:
• Additional years of experience in electronic component procurement are advantageous.
• Previous involvement in production control, planning, sourcing, or material management within the electronics industry is preferred.
• Capacity to juggle multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including skills in PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
• APICS CPIM or ISM CPM certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven interpersonal and leadership abilities.
