Logistics Operations Supervisor

Full Time - supporting our operational needs

The Logistics Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the warehouse functions across various locations. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position is pivotal in ensuring that our dedicated team of service technicians is equipped with the necessary materials promptly, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction. The supervisor will manage procurement processes for all locations within the designated area, contributing to the company's financial health by meticulously tracking inventory levels, monitoring supplier pricing, and minimizing losses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership to warehouse staff to maintain seamless operations and foster a supportive environment.
  • Ensure accountability among team members regarding the quality, accuracy, and efficiency of their tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to manage daily operations, standard operating procedures, and the overall organization of warehouse facilities.
  • Maintain updated schedules to ensure timely inventory checks align with company objectives, addressing any discrepancies as they arise.
  • Oversee the regular processing of inventory replenishments to guarantee timely material delivery and reduce stock shortages.
  • Work alongside the Warehouse Manager to refine inventory and material management based on changing requirements.
  • Report necessary updates to item records to the Warehouse Manager to align with evolving material needs.
  • Assist in managing fleet requirements and suggest improvements to better serve operational demands.

Working Environment:

The role is primarily conducted in a warehouse setting, requiring the ability to lift and transport items exceeding 50 lbs. Occasional travel to various locations may be necessary.

Experience and Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within warehouse operations, preferably across multiple sites.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems, particularly in plumbing materials.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience with a track record of success.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
