Position Overview

The Logistics Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager by ensuring that the Center adheres to the company's standards for quality management, health and safety, legal compliance, and environmental policies. This position is responsible for overseeing operations, administration, distribution, sales, and marketing functions, either directly or through the team members, as guided by the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide essential support to the General Manager, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Direct and manage operations, administration, distribution, sales, and marketing functions.
  • Supervise daily warehouse and delivery operations to maintain efficiency.
  • Utilize basic business mathematics to analyze figures such as discounts and commissions.
  • Maintain awareness of health and safety regulations and ensure adherence.
  • Exhibit excellent time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Delegate tasks and supervise subordinates as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of some college and 3-5 years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role within the wholesale sector.

  • Familiarity with current tools and technologies used in distribution operations.
  • Ability to implement and support health and safety programs.

  • Strong communication skills across various teams and departments.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role may require occasional standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 150 pounds. The work environment is subject to weather conditions and typically features a moderate noise level.
