About This Role:

ContainerPort Group, a World Group Company, is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven individual to join our team as an Operations Manager. This role will focus on fostering enduring relationships with our clients and contractors, aligning with our core values.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage transportation and intermodal services through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage recruitment, relations, and retention of Independent Contractors.
  • Facilitate training and development for Customer Service Coordinators and Dispatchers.
  • Supervise administrative staff to ensure precise billing and invoicing for customers, as well as accurate settlement payments to independent contractors.
  • Implement continuous process improvements to enhance reliability and reduce service defects, including missed customer appointments, per-diem, and demurrage costs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support company growth and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Experience working with the ports of Baltimore is essential.
  • 3+ years of experience in intermodal transportation is preferred.
  • A high school diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the trucking industry (intermodal preferred).
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of HOS and DOT regulations.
  • Experience with owner-operator fleets is preferred.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems; experience with Trinium is a plus.
