Job Overview

Position Summary

The Logistics and Safety Supervisor is tasked with ensuring efficient, secure, and respectful transportation services for families associated with Ronald McDonald House Charities Maryland, while also coordinating safety and training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Supervisor

· Operates the shuttle service on designated weekdays.

· Available to assist on additional days as required.

· Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the shuttle and vehicle interiors and exteriors, schedules necessary maintenance, and performs weekly checks on vehicle fluids.

· Adheres to all transportation policies and safety regulations.

· Manages the collection and delivery of donations.

Safety and Training Supervisor

· Oversees the organization of team training sessions.

· Coordinates logistics, including refreshments, and collaborates with staff to ensure adequate coverage.

Additional Duties

· Responsible for watering plants as needed.

· Conducts inventory and ordering of beverages, including for special events. Collects cash from vending machines for deposit.

· Manages recycling efforts, including coordinating the delivery of materials to recycling facilities.

· Performs other assigned tasks as necessary.

Reporting Structure

· Reports to: Vice President of Operations

· Non-Supervisory Role

Qualifications

· Required Education and Experience:

o High school diploma or equivalent.

o Prior experience in a driving or transportation role.

o Must pass random drug tests as per the Vehicle Fleet Policy Agreement.

o Annual physical examination required as outlined in the Vehicle Fleet Policy Agreement.

o Clean driving record as verified by the Department of Transportation.

o Valid driver's license.

Skills and Abilities:

o Capable of working independently and collaboratively.

o Adaptable to changing priorities and workloads.

o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

o Ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with team members.

o Proficient in problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision-making.

o Must maintain a courteous demeanor towards all customers.

Work Schedule

· Monday to Thursday, 8 am – 5 pm

Work Environment

· Requires prolonged periods of standing and walking.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
