Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven individual to assume the role of Operations Manager. This position is vital for our expanding operations and focuses on fostering strong relationships with both customers and contractors, guided by our core values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage transportation and intermodal services, emphasizing effective communication and teamwork.
  • Handle recruitment, relations, and retention of Independent Contractors.
  • Facilitate training and development for Customer Service Coordinators and Dispatchers.
  • Supervise administrative staff to ensure precise billing and invoicing processes, as well as accurate settlement payments to independent contractors.
  • Implement continuous process improvements to enhance reliability and minimize service defects, including missed customer appointments and associated costs.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support organizational growth and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in intermodal transportation is required.
  • 3-4 years of experience working with port operations is mandatory.
  • A high school diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the trucking industry, with intermodal experience being essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience is necessary.
  • Strong understanding of HOS and DOT regulations is required.
  • Experience with owner-operator fleets is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems, particularly Trinium, is a plus.
