Position Overview
The Head of Marketing for Cultural Initiatives will spearhead the creation and execution of marketing strategies that advocate for social impact projects through collaborations and activations with cultural influencers across the music, sports, and entertainment sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of marketing and media principles, pop culture, and the entertainment landscape, coupled with a commitment to fostering positive social change.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement marketing strategies and campaigns that are intricately woven into the cultural landscape, delivering impactful results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize social impact initiatives that elevate the organization's vision and principles within the cultural sphere.
- Develop innovative concepts that resonate with target demographics, inspiring engagement and action through market trends and consumer insights.
- Work with internal stakeholders to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor the success of cultural initiatives and activations.
- Build and maintain relationships with essential stakeholders, including external partners and influencers.
- Create investment proposals for marketing initiatives, employing sound decision-making frameworks and methodologies for testing and experimentation.
- Facilitate collaboration with internal and external partners by seeking insights from peers, colleagues, and subject matter experts (SMEs). Establish communication channels with key stakeholders to ensure effective knowledge sharing and feedback.
- Coordinate with agency partners as needed, including the development of statements of work (SOW), project briefings, expectation management, and results monitoring.
Qualifications and Skills
- 7+ years of professional experience in marketing strategy and execution within consumer brands or the entertainment sector, with a proven record of driving significant results at scale.
- A passion for social impact marketing and alignment with Stand Together's vision for transformative change through innovative discovery and creative problem-solving.
- Demonstrated success in translating organizational vision and high-level objectives into strategic, actionable marketing plans with clear goals and KPIs.
- Experience in understanding the needs of diverse audiences and developing appropriate, innovative marketing materials and communication strategies.
- A proven leader and collaborator with experience in inspiring and working with cross-functional teams to promote a unified vision that supports shared business objectives.
- Experience in building strong relationships with key internal and external partners and senior-level stakeholders within complex organizational structures.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of agency relations (as a client or agency representative) and experience in determining when to seek external/vendor support to enhance capabilities and impact.
