Position Summary:

The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for managing phone communications and generating interest in our treatment programs. This role involves engaging with potential clients and their families to facilitate the admissions process. The Admissions Coordinator will address inquiries regarding pre-admissions and general intake, conduct over-the-phone assessments, schedule appointments, and assist clients in understanding their insurance coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive phone coverage during assigned shifts.
  • Generate interest in our treatment services.
  • Guide callers through the treatment process and help overcome barriers to admission.
  • Document all client interactions and information accurately.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of service offerings and client census.
  • Conduct timely follow-ups with prospective clients to ensure a smooth admission process.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and positive attitude in all interactions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to potential clients and their families.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate insurance verification results and discuss payment options with clients.
  • Refer callers to appropriate facilities if they do not meet admission criteria.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in counseling within a substance use treatment setting is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma is required; a two-year degree or higher is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the chemical dependency field, either over the phone or in-person.
  • CAADAC or related certification is a plus.
  • Strong computer and telephonic skills; familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on client needs.

Health and Safety Requirements:

All employees who interact with clients or are involved in food preparation must complete a health screening report or questionnaire upon hire. Specific health requirements will be outlined during the onboarding process.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to communicate effectively, often while sitting and using hands and fingers. The role may also involve standing, walking, and reaching. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.
