Under the general oversight of the Director of Therapy Services, the Patient Access Coordinator plays a vital role in managing patient appointments and ensuring a seamless registration process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule outpatient appointments efficiently and effectively.
- Serve as a liaison between healthcare providers, admissions, and therapy departments to facilitate patient care.
- Conduct patient and guarantor interviews to clarify hospital policies, financial obligations, and patient rights.
- Address routine inquiries from patients regarding the registration process in a professional manner.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare environment, such as a hospital or physician's office.
- Proficiency in registration, insurance verification, and scheduling processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of college-level coursework, particularly in Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant training.
