Human Resources Manager

Join the Holland America Group team as a Human Resources Manager and take on a challenging role that requires strategic thinking, leadership skills, and a passion for HR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement people strategies and programs that align with the company's core values and brand direction.
- Lead the Human Resources team and create a highly engaged, effective, and team-oriented department.
- Provide consultation and coaching to leadership and management on HR policies and processes.
- Manage harassment and discrimination allegations and conduct investigations as needed.
- Oversee the Learning & Development function, including teammate onboarding and shipboard orientation processes.
- Work collaboratively with ship and shore management to support and manage Employee Engagement Survey procedures and results.
- Manage the Internal Transfer Program and Career Progression by providing career counseling to teammates and managing the internal recruitment and interview process.
- Manage the Crew Welfare & Crew Club function, ensuring a balanced offering of social, recreational, and educational programs to support onboard wellbeing and teammate engagement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Adult Education, or a related field, or an Advanced SHRM or CIPD HR Certification.
- Minimum of five years' experience in Human Resource Management, preferably in Employee Relations or as an HR Business Partner.
- Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Leadership ability, strong public speaking skills, professional demeanor, and sound judgment in all decisions and actions.
- Ability to multi-task, adapt, and adjust to a variety of circumstances, and work well under stress.
