Position Summary

We are in search of a full-time Project Architect with 8 to 12 years of experience managing a variety of projects across cultural, educational, and heritage sectors, encompassing both new constructions and adaptive reuse renovations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication, design, technical, and organizational capabilities, with experience across all phases of design and construction. This role involves close collaboration with project team members and principals to produce articulate and technically proficient project documentation, ensuring the successful execution of high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement design and building performance strategies in alignment with project philosophies; actively engage in project team discussions.
  • Oversee design and technical development, project coordination, and quality assurance for all project components.
  • Conduct research to foster creative and innovative solutions to project challenges.
  • Collaborate with consultants to ensure cohesive project documentation that meets design and performance objectives.
  • Contribute to the creation of high-quality design documents, including detailed construction documents that adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Perform construction administration tasks, including reviewing shop drawings, product data, and material samples for compliance with design intent, responding to RFIs, and evaluating pay applications and change orders.
  • Stay updated on advancements in building technology, materials, and sustainable practices.
  • Maintain communication with clients, consultants, and contractors throughout all project phases and participate in marketing and client presentations as needed.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior design staff and interns.
Qualifications
  • Registered Architect with a professional degree in Architecture and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Housing and Mixed-Use projects is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in design, graphics, and presentations.
  • Proven leadership experience in collaborative project environments.
  • Experience in client meetings and coordination with sub-consultants.
  • Proficient in Revit; familiarity with Newforma and MS Teams is a plus.
  • Experience in preparing construction documents and overseeing construction administration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • LEED accreditation is advantageous.
