As a Senior Administrative Assistant and Project Associate, you will provide high-level administrative support to the vice provost and the mission of the Office of the Vice Provost for International Activities (OVPIA). You will develop in-depth knowledge of Institute policies and procedures, anticipate and initiate actions regarding office operations, and work directly with the senior director and various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

* Provide high-level administrative support to the vice provost and the mission of the Office of the Vice Provost for International Activities (OVPIA)
* Develop in-depth knowledge of Institute policies and procedures
* Anticipate and initiate actions regarding office operations
* Work directly with the senior director and various stakeholders
* Use established project management tools, philosophies, and methodologies to coordinate, drive, and track initiatives/projects that support the OVPIA's strategic objectives
* Implement complex projects from conception, scope definition, and schedule management through to completion
* Use awareness of protocols, international and cultural sensitivities, and MIT values to liaise with senior government and corporate leaders and high net worth individuals from many countries
* Provide high-quality support for MIT's international relations and representations

Requirements:

* High school diploma or its equivalent
* Five years of directly related experience
* Proficiency with English grammar and composition
* Excellent organizational, project coordination, interpersonal, and communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities in a challenging, fast-paced environment
* Discretion and good judgment with confidential/sensitive materials/information
* An interest in learning about all aspects of academia
* Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree and MIT experience

Work Schedule:

* Hybrid schedule working three days on campus and two days remotely
