We are seeking a skilled Sales Manager to develop and maintain a customer base in the assigned sales area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of presenting and promoting services, providing cost-effective solutions, and fostering relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a customer base in the assigned territory, requiring travel.
- Utilize the CRM to capture customer feedback and manage workflow, ensuring a 360-degree view of the customer.
- Provide rates and quotes to existing and potential customers.
- Analyze account and territory performance, determining necessary course corrections.
- Grow OTR business and explore opportunities in other areas, such as LTL in Mexico, Intermodal, Dedicated, Regional, and Cartage.
- Monitor equipment productivity and efficiency, making recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with Operations personnel and other Sales Managers to resolve customer concerns.
- Maintain a balanced network within the territory.
- Prepare territory reports and assist with accounts receivables.
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of related sales experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with customer and vendor personnel to achieve desired objectives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Proven negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver concise reports and presentations.
- Successful completion of the CFI Sales Manager training course.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The Sales Manager will work in a light industrial environment, with occasional travel required. The position involves standing, walking, and using office equipment, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. The employee must have the ability to drive safely and have all necessary capabilities to do so.
