Your Role

At Koch Engineered Solutions LLC, we are seeking a dedicated Field Engineer who thrives in dynamic settings.

This role involves extensive travel, approximately 95%, as you will be an on-site engineer supporting the construction of utility-scale solar photovoltaic plants ranging from 10 to 300MW. The position offers per diem and opportunities for monthly home visits.

While the candidate can reside anywhere, the ability to travel to various project sites is essential.
This position does not qualify for VISA Sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate inspections and facilitate discussions with local, county, and state authorities.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Document and maintain construction and engineering drawings, including red-line sets.
  • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) among construction teams, engineers, vendors, and project owners.
  • Ensure subcontractors and self-performing teams adhere to their scopes of work.
  • Review construction material submittals.
  • Assist in preparing specifications, data sheets, and other pre-construction planning documents.
  • Maintain stormwater documentation logs and oversee necessary remediation efforts.
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to proactively manage project constraints.
  • Utilize drones to capture construction progress and identify issues.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Proven experience working under tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in creating reports and compiling data.
  • Adept at working collaboratively in a team environment.
What Will Set You Apart
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a technical field.
  • Experience operating drones or holding an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) license.
  • Background in Field Engineering, Project Engineering, or Construction Management within the Renewables or Oil & Energy sectors.
  • Experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in multilingual settings.
