Human Resources Manager

Job Summary: As a key member of the Human Resources team at Marriott, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, total compensation, and training and development of employees. This role requires a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the recruitment and hiring process, including interviewing and selecting candidates
- Establish and maintain contact with external recruitment sources
- Network with local organizations to source candidates for current or future openings
- Oversee the candidate identification and selection process
- Provide subject matter expertise to property managers regarding selection procedures
- Partner with vendor partners to ensure effective advertisement efforts are being utilized for open positions
- Perform quality control on candidate identification/selection
- Administer and educate employees on benefits
- Support employee development by managing employee orientation and training programs
- Maintain employee relations by assisting with employee communication and resolving employee issues
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and operating procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in human resources, management operations, or related professional area
- Or 2-year degree from an accredited university in human resources, business administration, or related major; 1 year experience in human resources, management operations, or related professional area
