Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 + comprehensive benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, Life, PTO, Disability, Employee Assistance Program, and Optional Supplemental Insurance.


As an Entry-Level Financial Analyst at CORPORATE RESOURCES OF IL LTD, you will work under the guidance of our Controller, playing a crucial role in the precise and timely management of financial transactions.

This role requires you to identify and resolve discrepancies, collaborate with internal teams and clients, and comply with established financial policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and validate invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports, ensuring they are accurate and properly authorized.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable with the general ledger to maintain accuracy and completeness.
  • Update and maintain the general ledger, categorizing transactions appropriately.
  • Prepare and record journal entries for month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all necessary adjustments are made.
  • Investigate and rectify any discrepancies found during reconciliation.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring adherence to GAAP.
  • Generate and evaluate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into financial performance.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card statements, ensuring all transactions are accounted for and authorized.
  • Support tax planning efforts and ensure compliance with current tax regulations.
  • Prepare recommendations for budget adjustments based on financial performance and trends.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed financial analysis reports, including profitability, cost, and variance analyses.
  • Provide insights based on financial analysis to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Utilize our ERP system and QuickBooks to maintain and manage financial records, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Experience with sales tax is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not mandatory.
  • General understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume business environment, preferably in distribution or manufacturing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and various cash receipt sources.
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under time constraints.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently or collaboratively within a team.
