In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify and address the learning strategies and development requirements of our clients in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. You will confidently oversee the execution of innovative and practical learning strategies and solutions that we develop. Setting a clear vision for projects, guiding your team, and personally contributing to deliverables are essential aspects of this position. Therefore, possessing critical thinking abilities along with experience or a strong interest in organizational transformation is crucial.

The key responsibilities of a Manager, Consulting include:

  • Fostering and maintaining robust relationships with clients throughout project lifecycles.
  • Overseeing project timelines and coordinating necessary internal resources to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables within budget constraints.
  • Communicating project status updates effectively to both internal teams and clients.
  • Creating project initiation presentations, status reports, executive summaries, and case studies, as well as facilitating and documenting client meetings.
  • Managing and updating multiple project work plans and streams concurrently.
  • Coordinating and supervising team members involved in client projects, including content developers, editors, graphic designers, and subcontractors.
  • Conducting thorough situational and needs analyses to inform project design and logistics.
  • Assisting the Project Lead in defining the strategic objectives of projects and collaborating with clients and the broader project team to establish learning goals.
  • Contributing to the development of learning solution deliverables, utilizing adult learning and instructional design principles.
  • Articulating the value of Salience's offerings and the rationale behind our learning strategies and design decisions.
  • Conducting detailed reviews of deliverables, providing constructive feedback to ensure quality before client submission.
  • Participating in staffing discussions to ensure projects are adequately resourced.
  • Providing performance feedback for project team members as needed.
  • Tracking client requests and ensuring consistency across program deliverables.
  • Preparing and conducting training sessions, managing all logistics involved.
  • Efficiently managing the client's review processes for all deliverables.
  • Identifying potential project opportunities and collaborating with leadership to support business development.
  • Contributing to internal initiatives aimed at enhancing skills, improving processes, and fostering business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in management consulting within a life sciences strategy practice or agency, with expertise in learning, commercial effectiveness, or organizational transformation.
  • At least 6 years of project management experience, including managing multiple project plans.
  • Strong business acumen in the pharmaceutical sector, encompassing commercial, marketing, and market access knowledge.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated client management capabilities.
  • Ability to establish a vision and create deliverables.
  • Experience in supporting learning initiatives or a strong interest in organizational transformation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Familiarity with project management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
