LaBella Associates is seeking a Sustainability Specialist to become a vital part of our Environmental team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting field assessments across various urban environments.
- Executing soil, vapor, and groundwater analysis.
- Overseeing field operations and drilling on various projects.
- Performing comprehensive Phase I evaluations.
- Collecting, documenting, and organizing field data systematically.
- Preparing reports, creating maps, and presenting data effectively.
- Ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of project outputs.
- Maintaining transparent communication with team members.
- Developing work plans and proposals while managing project objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Providing guidance, leadership, and mentorship to junior environmental staff.
- Supporting diverse environmental initiatives to guarantee successful execution and completion.
- Representing the organization professionally and in alignment with our core values.
- Adhering to professional standards and following quality assurance and control policies.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental experts, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to meet project goals.
- Collecting and interpreting environmental data, preparing detailed reports, and communicating progress and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Maintaining thorough project documentation, including assessments, permits, and compliance records.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
- 0-5 years of relevant experience in environmental roles.
- 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is mandatory.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS is required.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Highly driven self-starter with the ability to thrive in a dynamic consulting environment.
- Organized with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with NYC E-designations and brownfield sites, including the New York City Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP) and New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP).
- Valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Compensation:
Salary range: $65,000 - $89,000, influenced by experience, education, and work location.
