Position Summary:
The Employment Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting clients in securing stable employment and achieving independence. This position is crucial for supporting young women experiencing homelessness, aged 18-25. The specialist will cultivate and sustain relationships with employers to understand their needs and match clients with suitable job opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and proactively reach out to potential employers to gather information on job openings.
- Provide comprehensive job development services while maintaining strong relationships with employers to identify job vacancies.
- Stay informed about labor market trends and economic data to creatively target new employment opportunities.
- Assist clients in crafting tailored resumes and cover letters, coaching them on essential soft skills, and conducting mock interviews.
- Facilitate one-on-one coaching sessions and group workshops to enhance job seekers' employability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and employer interactions, including resumes, interviews, and feedback for reporting purposes.
- Assess client needs and document relevant data related to job descriptions.
- Develop workplace skills and behaviors to ensure successful internships that meet employer expectations.
- Propose qualified candidates to employers based on job requirements.
- Review job applications to ensure alignment with employer specifications.
- Complete necessary reports and documentation as required.
- Maintain ongoing communication with referral sources and collaborate with other service providers.
- Participate in recruitment events and job fairs as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or G.E.D with two years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Human Services preferred.
- Strong counseling and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Capacity to effectively engage with staff, employers, and community organizations.
- Successful completion of fingerprinting and criminal background checks.
