Position Overview:
The Direct-to-Consumer Technology division is in search of a Quality Assurance Lead responsible for overseeing comprehensive testing initiatives in alignment with the Peacock International Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with various technology teams and testing leads to ensure the successful delivery of pre-release products through systematic testing at system, integration, and functional levels.
  • Direct the end-to-end testing processes, including planning, designing, executing, and reporting on feature delivery as outlined in the Peacock Technology Roadmap.
  • Lead a team of QA Engineers and Specialists in coordinating thorough QA testing for Peacock features across multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, Smart TVs, Roku, and tvOS.
  • Oversee the creation and review of test plans, providing accurate estimates of QA resources and efforts required for project deliverables.
  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with stakeholders, including Test Managers, Program Managers, and Application Development Managers.
  • Engage in Technical Development Analysis (TDA) meetings to assess QA efforts and deliver timelines for features.
  • Act as a liaison among development, program, systems, and QA teams to enhance QA processes tailored for Peacock.
  • Proactively manage test priorities and scope, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Assist in defect classification and triage, prioritizing issues for resolution in JIRA.
  • Maintain oversight of issue creation, updates, and status during the testing phase.
  • Report testing progress to relevant stakeholders to ensure all project deliverables are verified and approved.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, fostering internal knowledge sharing.
  • Support testing during production deployments and manage expectations among various stakeholder teams.
  • Manage JIRA projects, leading the team and overseeing project execution.
  • Participate in test strategy meetings, following up with stakeholders and developers on requirements, and generating necessary documentation.
  • Evaluate project efforts and development lifecycles, addressing any testing roadblocks to ensure smooth project management.
  • Conduct testing related to commerce journeys, including payment vendors and subscription models.
  • Manage automation strategies and generate relevant reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar leadership role.
  • At least four years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and test management tools.
  • Experience collaborating with remote or international teams.
  • Proficient in Confluence and JIRA management.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC, particularly in streaming media applications.
  • Knowledge of popular Connected Device/OTT platforms.
  • Understanding of Project Management principles.
  • Experience in building test plans and coordinating QA/UAT efforts.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and solutions.
  • Strong understanding of networking and security protocols.
  • Experience with logging tools and server logs.
  • Proficient in streaming application validation.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
