The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for evaluating requirements and specifications to establish testing conditions. This role involves designing test cases and scripts, aligning them with predetermined criteria, and documenting and reporting outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate testing activities and tasks.
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, and test cases by breaking down business requirements.
- Create test scenarios to ensure quality deliverables.
- Conduct back-end testing utilizing complex SQL queries in Oracle.
- Establish regression suites using a Python automation framework and execute regression and integration testing.
- Collaborate with team members and users to define workflow specifics and application programming interfaces (APIs) for automated script development.
- Analyze test results and log defects in JIRA.
- Work alongside project team members to resolve and retest identified issues and defects.
- Document, maintain, track, and report test status using tools such as ALM, JIRA, and qTest.
Technical Skills:
Experience with ETL processes and data warehouse testing, ORACLE database technologies, and writing complex ORACLE SQL and PL/SQL scripts for data validation and backend data warehouse testing is essential. Familiarity with BI testing using Qlikview and Cognos, as well as analyzing source systems, staging areas, and fact and dimension tables in Target D/W, is required.
Proficiency in automated testing using Python Framework (Datacompare), Pandas, and Selenium automation is necessary. Knowledge of Postman, SOAPUI, and GraphQL for API testing, as well as defect tracking and quality assurance tools, including ALM, JIRA, and qTest, is expected. Understanding QA processes and deliverables in Agile/SCRUM environments is also important.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with five (5) years of relevant experience.
