Core Responsibilities:
- Leadership in Quality Assurance:
- Design, execute, and automate QA testing to ensure the delivery of high-caliber software.
- Establish and advocate for quality and testing best practices within development teams.
- Enhance and sustain the test automation framework.
- Oversee a co-located team and ensure compliance with established standards and protocols.
- Test Strategy Development and Implementation:
- Create comprehensive test plans, develop test cases, and write automation scripts.
- Plan and execute various testing methodologies (e.g., regression, functional, system integration).
- Engage with stakeholders to craft test scenarios and scripts.
- Defect Analysis and Resolution:
- Evaluate test outcomes, suggest corrective measures, and validate fixes.
- Participate in troubleshooting efforts and drive root cause analysis and resolution.
- Collaboration, Communication, and Continuous Enhancement:
- Work in close partnership with development teams to devise testing strategies.
- Monitor key testing metrics and relay progress towards testing objectives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline testing processes through automation.
- Conduct risk assessments for complex features and support user acceptance testing.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Technical Expertise:
- Extensive background in testing cloud-based, distributed, and intricate environments.
- Proficient in testing tools such as Selenium/WebDriver and BDD/TDD frameworks.
- Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Team Collaboration and Communication:
- Exceptional communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Process Optimization:
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Experience Required:
- 5-7 years of experience in software testing or technology support.
- Experience in the Life Insurance & Annuity sector is advantageous.
Salary Range: $95,000-$145,000
Overtime Status: Exempt
Bonus Eligibility: Yes
