Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software solutions for automating testing and ensuring quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle using cloud computing tools, web automation, JavaScript/Java, REST API, and FIX API.
  • Create, develop, and implement test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures essential for financial and trading systems utilizing various technologies such as Java, Selenium, Rest Assured, Amazon AWS, PostgreSQL, BDD/Cucumber, Gherkin, TestNG framework, GIT, and Jenkins.
  • Design, create, execute, and automate web application scripts and perform web UI test cases.
  • Design, create, execute, and automate REST API and FIX API test cases using the BDD/Cucumber Java framework.
  • Build relationships, mentor, and influence stakeholders within QA, infrastructure engineering, and other business units.
  • Develop test strategy documents and troubleshoot issues to identify underlying problems.
  • Capable of building and automating integration test cases and executing them from Jenkins Pipeline with triggers.
  • Work at an EPIC level.
  • Break down the tech stack to component level and contribute to the codebase.
  • Develop test cases from the partner perspective focusing on performance/recovery and disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in at least one domain within the team and be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of all projects.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Rest Assured, Java, BDD/Cucumber, REST API, JSON, web automation, Selenium, JavaScript, FIX API, and Postman.
  • Experience with trading flows (equity/options, etc.) and an understanding of settlement and clearing processes.
  • Experience in designing QA processes related to financial transactions.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD Jenkins Pipeline for integrating test automation.
  • Understanding of ActiveMQ/Kafka is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS, JMeter, or any performance testing tools is advantageous.
