Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the guidance of the Admissions Director, the Graduate Program Outreach Coordinator plays a vital role in attracting new students. This position focuses on developing and maintaining partnerships with community organizations and undergraduate institutions to highlight graduate program opportunities at Erikson Institute. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing these partnerships through formal agreements that foster student enrollment growth.

The Graduate Program Outreach Coordinator will represent Erikson Institute to various stakeholders, including prospective students, their families, and community contacts. This role requires collaboration within a small admissions team and close interaction with faculty, marketing, and communications departments.

Evening and weekend availability, along with occasional travel, is expected.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

New Student Recruitment and Partnership Development - 85%

  • Recruit for designated programs or territories to ensure effective enrollment of targeted new students. Employ best practices in relationship building and decision-making with prospective students while maintaining accurate records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Utilize CRM tools to manage recruitment efforts and make informed, data-driven decisions to meet enrollment objectives. Conduct interviews, campus tours, and group information sessions for potential students. Organize and participate in lead generation events both on and off campus. Represent Erikson Institute at various speaking engagements.
  • Enhance student interest by cultivating relationships with administrators from community organizations and faculty/staff from undergraduate institutions, identifying partnership opportunities. This includes engaging with decision-makers to effectively promote Erikson programs. Collaborate with peers to track and measure progress towards goals using internal CRM systems. Plan and present at events, including information sessions specific to Erikson's programs at partner organizations. Oversee the execution of contracts and agreements to develop and sustain partnerships that support enrollment. Maintain an active partner database and serve as the primary contact for these organizations. Work with the Admissions Director to strategically plan academic partnerships.

Additional Responsibilities - 5%

  • Contribute as a critical thinker within the Erikson Institute Admissions team.
  • Act as a liaison between Admissions and other university departments and committees as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the Admissions leadership team.
  • Support Erikson's mission by clearly articulating the benefits of an Erikson education.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in admissions (specifically with adult/graduate populations) or in high-value relationship management/customer service is essential.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team is important. Comfort in proactively reaching out to prospective students and partners is expected. Flexibility for local and national travel, along with availability for evening and weekend work, is required.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office) and familiarity with CRM systems is required. Experience with Slate is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, multitasking abilities, determination to meet recruitment goals, and a commitment to the mission and values of Erikson Institute are essential.
  • Experience working effectively with diverse stakeholders, including colleagues, faculty, applicants, and external partners is crucial.
