Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Affordable Leasing Manager to join our team at Fairstead. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the leasing and property management operations for our affordable housing properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leasing and Property Management
    • Supervise leasing specialists to ensure maximum occupancy and renewal rates for assigned rental units.
    • Ensure all leases are completed accurately and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
    • Maintain property appearance and ensure repairs are completed promptly through regular inspections and tours.
  • Administrative and Compliance
    • Confirm completion of all leases and corresponding paperwork, accurately inputting data into the Yardi System.
    • Review tenant applications for eligibility, maintain and manage waiting lists, and showcase available units.
    • Process all Section and LIHTC Tenant Income Certification (TIC) and EIV reports, address any findings, and maintain master binders.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Provide guidance and support to leasing specialists to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Interact professionally with residents, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service.
    • Respond to resident inquiries and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, or related field or equivalent work experience.
    • COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist) required.
    • Previous experience in property management, affordable housing management, or related field required.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proficiency in property management software, such as Yardi, and MS Office Suite.
    • Strong understanding of HUD regulations and other affordable housing program guidelines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
