Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Event Sales Manager to enhance our dynamic team in South Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming requests for private gatherings and group dining across Major Food Group's venues.
  • Oversee the development and management of corporate and social event markets.
  • Collaborate with the Major Food Events management team to optimize event revenue and ensure smooth logistics for an exceptional guest experience.
  • Engage with clients throughout the booking and planning stages, including negotiating prices, drafting contracts, and securing payment details.
  • Ensure all confirmed events are communicated effectively to relevant internal and external teams.
  • Assist clients with customized menu selections, beverage arrangements, floor plans, and all event specifics.
  • Continuously update event information in our catering software to produce accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Participate in weekly discussions with chefs and managers to relay all catering details for upcoming events.
  • Provide organized and timely communication of event logistics to on-site management and offer support during events to guarantee flawless execution.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to creatively achieve sales targets.
  • Proactively generate new business leads through outreach to both new and existing clients.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned, adhering to deadlines.
  • Act as a representative of Major Food Group's culture.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of local culture, history, and key players in Miami.
  • Stay informed on local business and news to identify potential opportunities.
  • Previous sales experience in luxury or hospitality sectors is essential.
  • Experience in event planning, management, or production is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher is mandatory.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Must possess a network of existing clients and relationships.
