We are seeking an experienced Event Sales Manager to enhance our South Florida operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming requests for private gatherings and group dining at Major Food Group venues.
  • Oversee the growth and maintenance of both corporate and social event markets.
  • Collaborate with the Major Food Events management team to optimize event profitability and ensure smooth logistics for an exceptional guest experience.
  • Engage with clients throughout the event booking and planning stages, including negotiating terms, drafting contracts, and securing payment details.
  • Ensure all confirmed events are communicated effectively to relevant internal and external teams, adhering to company protocols.
  • Assist clients in customizing their event details, including menu selections, beverage options, floor arrangements, and overall event flow.
  • Continuously update event information in our catering software to produce accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Participate in weekly meetings with culinary and management teams to relay all catering specifics for upcoming events.
  • Provide organized and timely communication regarding event logistics to on-site management and offer support during events to guarantee flawless execution.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to creatively achieve sales targets.
  • Proactively generate new business opportunities through outreach to both new and existing clients.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Represent and promote the culture of Major Food Group.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of the local Miami culture, history, and key stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on local business and news trends to identify potential opportunities.
  • Prior sales experience in the luxury or hospitality sectors is essential.
  • Experience in event coordination, management, or production is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher is mandatory.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Must possess an established network of clients and professional relationships.
