Job Title: Risk Management Specialist

Capital One is seeking a highly motivated Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and monitoring risks in an open, collaborative environment where new ideas and solutions are welcomed and rewarded.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and partner with AML and OCI stakeholders and other risk management professionals across the enterprise
  • Collaborate effectively with key partner risk organizations, including Compliance, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, and Audit
  • Support audits and regulatory exams owned by AML, OCI, and other teams
  • Monitor issue management, tracking, and closure
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and guidance during risk assessments
  • Assist AML and OCI with the annual Critical Business Process (CBP) identification process and facilitate subsequent Process Level Assessments (PLAs)
  • Analyze information to proactively identify risks, trends, and process improvements while reporting on risk topics to management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or audit
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients
  • At least 2 years of project or process management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or audit
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal
  • Strong customer focus and ability to collaborate across teams to deliver
  • Proficient with Google and MS Office Suites
