Safety Compliance Specialist

As a Safety Compliance Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to safeguard the well-being of employees, subcontractors, and the public during our premier construction projects. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of safety while adhering to Clark's Safety and Health Policy, along with local and federal safety regulations on job sites.
Key Responsibilities
+ Champion the safety culture throughout the project lifecycle.
+ Monitor and ensure the safety of all personnel involved, including employees and subcontractors.
+ Implement and uphold corporate and project-specific safety and health initiatives, as well as comply with federal, state, and local safety laws.
+ Lead the assessment of specialized safety plans (e.g., crane operations, confined spaces, Job Action Analysis).
+ Collaborate with subcontractors to guarantee timely submission of all required documentation.
+ Identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
+ Familiarize yourself with the project schedule and relevant contractual documents.
+ Design, coordinate, and execute tailored safety programs for each project.
+ Work closely with field supervisors to integrate safety hazard mitigation strategies into project planning.
+ Develop customized safety training for job site personnel, including subcontractors, based on upcoming tasks or recent safety trends.
+ Inspire and align the team to create a safe working environment for all.
+ Facilitate third-party safety evaluations, including OSHA inspections.
+ Build and maintain a network of industry connections to identify potential business opportunities for Clark leadership.
+ Foster relationships within the industry to attract and recruit top talent.
+ Surpass stakeholder expectations by anticipating their needs and objectives.
Basic Qualifications
+ Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in construction safety, with a degree in safety and health or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ Strong communication skills to influence supervisors, peers, and external partners.
+ Proven training and experience in safely managing crane operations, fall protection, excavation, scaffolding, and heavy equipment.
+ Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ A proactive, data-driven approach to achieving both individual and organizational goals while balancing immediate and long-term objectives.

Preferred Qualifications
+ OSHA 30 Hour certification.
+ Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC) certification.
+ Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) certification.
+ First Aid/CPR training.
