Overview

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a dedicated Safety and Compliance Officer within its Facilities Management department, specifically in the Parking and Transportation division. This role is essential for overseeing and regulating all parking facilities and transportation services, ensuring adherence to established regulations and providing support to community members and visitors.

Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 5:00am-1:30pm Saturday-Wednesday 7:00am-3:30pm Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily patrols of assigned areas to maintain a secure environment for all users Serve as the liaison with local law enforcement and security agencies to execute the comprehensive safety strategy Perform regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness and report any maintenance needs Enforce parking regulations uniformly as per training guidelines Collect and relay occupancy data for designated parking areas to the Safety Supervisor Collaborate with facility staff to manage special events and requests as directed by management Monitor parking areas to guarantee that subscribers have access to their designated spots Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record Successful completion of a background check Ability to complete all required training successfully Strong customer service skills are essential Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays Capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues and manage multiple tasks in high-pressure situations Basic computer skills and time management abilities required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service is advantageous Strong written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with basic maintenance and operation of relevant equipment Required Certifications:
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record Physical and Cognitive Requirements:

Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels Potential exposure to fumes and other environmental factors Emotional and Mental Demands:

Salary Range: Competitive
