The Team:

S&P Global Platts is in search of a Client Relationship Manager who will oversee a designated client portfolio throughout the Latin American region. This role is pivotal in providing client assistance, facilitating onboarding processes, and fostering strong relationships. The Client Relationship Manager collaborates closely with Commercial and Client Development teams to identify client needs and deliver valuable services.

This position offers a chance to take charge of your accounts and cultivate relationships with a diverse range of clients. It also presents an opportunity to deepen your understanding of energy commodities, pricing evaluations, and emerging sectors such as Energy Transition. You will have the chance to build a personal network with commodity analysts, traders, and senior executives.

Additional responsibilities encompass on-site assistance, product education, and the seamless integration of Platts services into customer operations. The primary objective is to ensure exceptional customer service as a key differentiator. Documentation in Salesforce is mandatory for all value-added services (cases/activities).

Key Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Stay informed on current commodity news and partner platforms, serving as a team advocate.
  • Collaborate with Commercial and other teams to address client requirements, deliverables, and feedback.
  • Contribute to the growth of S&P Global Platts by working alongside the Commercial team.
  • Manage client onboarding, product education, relationship cultivation, and client deliverables. Collaborate with Client Service, Editorial, Product, Marketing, and other global teams to find client solutions.
  • Travel to meet clients to gather insights; share feedback internally as needed. Work with global Client Service teams to share best practices and lessons learned.

What We Seek:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in related industries (finance, banking, or trading).

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in client support and/or sales interactions.
  • A proactive individual who is organized and ready to manage a portfolio of clients.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills to handle multiple client requests, including product demonstrations, training, and documentation.
  • Ability to conduct effective individual and group training sessions at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of energy, commodities, and financial markets.
  • Willingness to travel, approximately 40% of the time, to meet clients.
  • Familiarity with CRMs (Salesforce), Excel, Quip, Zoom, and Teams.
  • Understanding of APIs and technology.
