Job Overview

Client Management (SMB):

Manage retention and expansion for a portfolio of existing small to medium-sized business clients:

  • Formulate strategic account plans to achieve retention and growth objectives, ensuring they are current and actionable.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within the client's organization.
  • Facilitate commercial activities, including negotiations for your portfolio, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Support teams to address client concerns promptly and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Track client engagement activities and proactively oversee the renewal pipeline, ensuring comprehensive documentation of account activities.
  • Escalate complex challenges (both internal and client-related) to management.
  • Work alongside Finance and Revenue Operations to guarantee accurate billing and timely payments.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Onboarding teams to ensure effective client onboarding and identify cross-selling opportunities within your existing accounts.
  • Influence product development by relaying client feedback to Commercial leaders and Product teams.

Retention and Expansion:

  • Drive client retention and sustainable long-term growth across your portfolio.
  • Plan and manage renewal processes and pricing adjustments to meet or exceed growth targets.
  • Develop persuasive business proposals and negotiate terms effectively.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Success on targeted outreach campaigns.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of client engagement and manage your renewal pipeline proactively.

Industry Knowledge and Awareness:

  • Stay informed about developments in the media industry and product enhancements to align value propositions with client needs.
  • Share industry insights with the broader commercial team.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with small to medium-sized business clients.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and growing a client portfolio.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to forge strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, including Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Product, to provide a seamless client experience.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic environment and adaptable to shifting priorities.
