About the Opportunity

The Engagement and Partnerships Manager will play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with local schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to advance the mission of InsideHigherEd. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic partnerships that align with the company's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership Development
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to advance the mission of InsideHigherEd
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement strategic partnerships
  • Program Management
    • Develop and manage programs and initiatives that align with the company's goals and objectives
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement program evaluations and assessments
    • Provide support and guidance to internal teams on program development and implementation
  • Communication and Outreach
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders through regular communication and outreach
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement communication and outreach strategies
    • Provide support and guidance to internal teams on communication and outreach efforts

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience
    • Masters degree in Education, Public Health, Social Work, Public Administration, or related field, and at least 3-5 years of experience in education-related project management or the equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience with K12 settings and deep experience in Providence K12 schools preferred
    • Experience with constituent relationship management software (such as Salesforce) is preferred
  • Competencies
    • Sustain a project from inception to completion, with the ability to manage details and input from multiple stakeholders
    • Effectively plans and prioritizes when faced with competing deadlines: remains flexible, takes the initiative, and follows through on strategies and tactics
    • Demonstrated experience with community engagement and working knowledge of guiding principles for ethical and effective campus-community engagement
    • Strong sense of ownership and attention to detail: notices and fixes errors that others might overlook. Acknowledges mistakes and turns them into learning opportunities. Shows initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and accessibly to a variety of stakeholders through writing and visual design
    • Manages a high volume of work with efficiency: Has, or can create, a system for keeping tasks from slipping through the cracks. Able to juggle competing demands and prioritize without sacrificing quality. Plans ahead to make deadlines
    • Understands the impact of a project directly to and across various functions, as well as to the overall institute and field. Integrates organizational and team goals into the project scope and deliverables; develops metrics to track progress towards goals, and solves for project and organizational dependencies
    • Proficiency in Google Suites, MS Office, and web navigation
    • Willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive campus community
