Compassionate Certified Substance Use Counselor Required

Position Summary:

The Substance Use Counselor is responsible for guiding patients through medically-assisted treatments and providing strategies for managing opioid dependency. The Counselor will conduct both individual and group therapy sessions to support crisis intervention and develop coping mechanisms. They will assess patient progress throughout the counseling process and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling services; maintain direct service hours at scheduled intervals; coordinate all treatment services.
  • Conduct comprehensive Bio-psychosocial assessments.
  • Facilitate the development and review of initial treatment plans with each patient.
  • Create aftercare and discharge plans.
  • Guarantee the effective and efficient provision of counseling services to all patients.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certified Counselor in the State of California.
  • Prior experience working with individuals facing chemical dependency is advantageous. Must exhibit a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting demeanor towards our patient demographic.
  • Successful completion of a drug screening and a criminal background check.

Compensation:

The salary for this position ranges from $28.51 to $30.51 per hour. The final salary for selected candidates will be determined based on various factors, including experience, education, specialty, and training.
