Job Summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Counselor to join our team as a Substance Use Counselor. As a key member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in assisting patients through medically assisted treatments and providing techniques for handling opioid use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Individual and Group Sessions: Provide counseling services to patients, including individual and group sessions, to assist with crisis management and coping strategies.
  • Evaluate Patient Progress: Monitor patient progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Facilitate, establish, and review treatment plans with each patient to ensure their needs are met.
  • Coordinate Services: Coordinate all services throughout treatment, including bio-psychosocial assessments, aftercare plans, and discharge plans.
  • Ensure Efficient Delivery: Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients.
Requirements
  • Registered Counselor: Must be a Registered Counselor in the State of California.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus.
  • Qualifications: Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
  • Credentials: Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
