Job Title: Business Development Representative

At MSC Industrial Direct, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and revenue through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue medium manufacturing and non-manufacturing customers with revenue potential of $200,000 to $500,000 incremental revenue per year.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve maximum profitability and revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including senior-level decision makers.
  • Utilize sales and prospecting techniques to identify and qualify targeted account prospects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product management, to develop and execute sales and marketing initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years demonstrated track record of success in sales and marketing, preferably in industrial/manufacturing/distributing sales experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to make quick and calculated decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
