Executive Pastry Chef - Fontainebleau Las Vegas

The Executive Pastry Chef is responsible for supporting various business units across the resort by assisting all culinary teams from the pastry department. This position involves daily preparation of baked goods and pastries for food and beverage outlets and banquets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of baked goods and train pastry cooks to maintain high-quality standards
  • Decorate and present pastries and baked goods attractively to enhance the dining experience
  • Inspect completed pastry items for correctness and attractiveness to ensure consistency
  • Keep pastry teams informed of any operational issues in the bake shop
  • Assist with training kitchen staff and supporting sous chefs and pastry cooks to develop their skills
  • Ensure food quality and maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas to meet health and safety regulations
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support the business

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pastry Arts or a related field preferred
  • Extensive experience as a Pastry Chef with a strong track record of success
  • Leadership and supervisory skills in a fast-paced pastry kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavors to create innovative desserts
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with attention to detail and high standards
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Creativity and passion for pastry innovation to stay ahead of trends
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends to meet business needs

Work Environment

The employee may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke in the work environment. Noise level is moderate.

Compensation

$24.97 per hour
