Mother Wolf Las Vegas is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen leadership, you will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in all aspects of back-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Develop and implement new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand, in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
- Ensure timely and efficient kitchen activities.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management
- Responsible for weekly and monthly inventory management, monitoring and recording inventory levels, and ordering new supplies as needed.
- Employee Development and Training
- Provide support and guidance to junior kitchen employees, including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
- Create schedules for kitchen employees and evaluate their performance.
- Sanitation and Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
- Recruitment and Training
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees.
- Cost Control and Efficiency
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to review food and labor costs and minimize waste.
- At least two (2) years' experience in a full-service, moderate to high-volume restaurant.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to focus, multitask, and work well under pressure.
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Must have a valid SNHD Food Handler card.
