Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Robotic Automation Specialist is to implement and support automated processes aimed at enhancing safety, ergonomics, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Focus on robotic solutions that may integrate with various equipment, occasionally involving non-robotic automation.
- Lead projects through all phases, including conceptualization, budgeting, project management, progress reporting, acceptance testing, installation, startup, and ongoing process support.
- Identify and design primarily robotic solutions, alongside other automated systems, to drive improvements across the Machine Division.
- Manage projects comprehensively, including Capital Appropriation Requests, project budgets, savings, ROI, timelines, and status reporting.
- Program and troubleshoot robotic systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop necessary documentation, procedures, and routings for manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate effectively across various departments, including pieceworkers, R&D, QA, Supply Management, production teams, and executive management.
- Serve as the technical authority in robotics, providing mentorship and training to others.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Level III: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with robotic systems. Level IV: Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience with robotic systems. Experience in robotic welding is advantageous.
- Proficient in designing automated solutions and implementing robotic and automation equipment.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in advanced functions of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Broad knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and procedures.
- Experience in solid modeling (CAD) with the ability to conceptualize and design components for automated solutions.
- Ability to work effectively with shop floor personnel and adapt work schedules as necessary.
- Capable of gathering and analyzing data to make informed, fact-based decisions.
