Job Summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems to drive improvements in safety, ergonomics, quality, productivity, and cost reductions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automated Solution Development: Identify and conceptualize robotic and automated solutions to drive business improvements.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish, including capital appropriation requests, project budgets, savings, ROI, timelines, and status reporting.
  • System Implementation: Program robotic systems, provide support and troubleshooting of existing robotic systems, and design customized fixturing and workholding for automated systems.
  • Documentation and Training: Create procedures, documentation, routings, and other necessary documentation for the manufacturing process, and train others in the technical aspects of robotic systems.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years professional and on-hands experience with robotic systems, with Level IV minimum 8 years professional and on-hands experience with robotic systems.
  • Skills: Proficient in conceptualizing automated solutions, implementing robotic and automation equipment, and programming Fanuc robots for auto recovery and other complex routines.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively and efficiently independently or as part of a team.
