Position Summary:
We are in search of a Lead Electronics Engineer to provide support for PC board troubleshooting within our Electronics Factory. This role will encompass leading initiatives to enhance design and manufacturing processes. This is a remarkable opportunity to be part of a renowned leader in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee significant and potentially intricate technical investigations.
- Lead capability and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) studies aimed at quality enhancements; spearhead improvements in PC board testing.
- Engineer and facilitate the safe, high-quality, cost-effective, ergonomic, and environmentally sustainable manufacturing of PC boards.
- Develop comprehensive documentation and troubleshooting manuals for new product launches.
- Address and resolve issues related to testing, manufacturing, and design to support production needs.
- Proactively implement improvements to enhance first-pass yield.
- Collaborate with R&D, Plant Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and other Electronics Factory personnel to enhance the quality, manufacturability, and value of PC board designs.
- Act as a professional liaison to external resources such as equipment suppliers, consultants, and technical organizations.
- May oversee the evaluation and execution of employee suggestions.
- Conduct cost analysis and initiate cost reduction strategies.
- Create and continuously refine effective training resources and work instructions for production staff.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an electronics engineering discipline with over 5 years of engineering experience.
- A comprehensive understanding of board design and design tools.
- Capability to read and create electrical schematics.
- Strong proficiency in Lean methodology tools to drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team, demonstrating excellent organizational skills to manage diverse assignments and shifting priorities.
- Possess and apply extensive knowledge and experience to projects that yield significant positive changes in service level, quality, and value provided by the Electronics Factory.
