In the 2 North unit of Medina Hospital, we prioritize compassionate, patient-centered care. Our focus is on providing specialized treatment for cardiac, neurological, and stroke patients. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a vital role in implementing and monitoring individualized patient care plans, administering medications and treatments, and coordinating discharge plans while effectively communicating patient conditions.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, relationship-focused care.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • The ability to multitask, adapt to changing situations, and respond appropriately in various circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with established protocols and policies.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
  • Evaluate and adjust care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Coordinate care among various healthcare disciplines.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing protocols.
  • Assess and address patient discharge planning needs.
  • Provide education and resources to patients and their families.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through education and clinical practice.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Proof of BLS certification required upon hire.
  • Additional certifications may be required based on specific care areas.

Work Environment:

  • Requires critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
