Unit Details:
The 3 South nursing unit is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to enhance our skilled team. This 32-bed unit specializes in general medical-surgical care, primarily serving adult and geriatric patients with a focus on observation. Our team addresses a wide range of conditions, including pneumonia, diabetes, sepsis, and various other medical issues.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care in alignment with established protocols and policies.
- Monitor and document patient conditions accurately.
- Evaluate and update care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Coordinate care among various healthcare disciplines.
- Administer medications and treatments as per nursing protocols.
- Facilitate patient discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Assess and address educational needs of patients and their families.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through education and clinical study.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Additional certifications may be required based on the unit of employment.
Work Environment:
This role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be prepared to handle stressful situations and work irregular hours.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform a full range of motion, including lifting and handling patients.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
