The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) is eager to welcome a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to its outstanding team. As an RN, your role will encompass providing direct nursing services, closely monitoring patient health, evaluating pain levels, administering medications, and ensuring accurate patient documentation.

  • A valid state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care in alignment with established protocols and procedures.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
  • Assess and update care plans to achieve desired health outcomes.
  • Coordinate care across various disciplines to ensure seamless patient support.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members for effective discharge planning.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and their families, ensuring understanding.

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Certification Requirements:

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • BLS certification from the AHA is required upon hire.
  • Additional certifications may be required based on the unit of employment.
