Position Overview: The 3 South nursing unit at Medina Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our exceptional team. This 32-bed unit specializes in general medical-surgical care for adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on observation and treatment of various conditions such as pneumonia, diabetes, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care in line with established protocols and policies.
- Monitor and document patient conditions accurately.
- Evaluate and adjust care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Coordinate care among various healthcare disciplines.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assess patient discharge needs and provide necessary education.
- Engage in continuous professional development and education.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit assignment.
