Position Overview:

The Emergency Department at Medina Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide tailored treatment that meets the unique needs of each patient. The focus is on enhancing patient care efficiency and minimizing wait times.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and adjust patient care plans as necessary.
  • Record, document, and communicate patient conditions effectively.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Execute physician and nursing orders accurately.
  • Assess and coordinate discharge needs for patients.
  • Provide education to patients and their families.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • At least one year of recent acute care RN experience, including military RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Physical Requirements:

This role requires a full range of body motion, including the ability to handle and lift patients, as well as manual dexterity and coordination. The position involves prolonged standing and walking, and the ability to work under stress and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids is possible.
