Position Summary

The Customer Service Sales Specialist is pivotal in promoting our services and maintenance agreements to both new and existing clients, focusing on Material Handling Equipment (MHE). This role demands a proactive approach to business development, targeting new opportunities and fostering relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the sales process, identifying potential clients and providing tailored solutions.
  • Act as a consultant, addressing unique business challenges and aligning our services with client needs.
  • Collaborate with senior management to devise effective strategies for expanding our customer base.
  • Engage with the sales team to share insights and develop innovative business strategies.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities and maintain visibility in the assigned territory.
  • Participate in training programs and shadow experienced team members to enhance skills.
  • Prepare specifications and service expectations in compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Calculate job costs and market-based pricing for our solutions.
  • Focus on sales of preventative maintenance, field and shop service, rental equipment, and safety training.
  • Generate order activity to support sales forecasts through proactive prospecting and market development.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cold calling sales.
  • At least 3 years of customer service experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Industrial Equipment or Construction Sales is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is advantageous.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while driving.
  • Capable of navigating customer job sites, including climbing ladders and accessing equipment.
  • Physical tasks may include stooping, kneeling, crouching, and bending.
  • Frequent use of tools and communication devices.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adhere to safety protocols.
