Position Overview
As a Sales Specialist in Healthcare Solutions, you will build and nurture relationships, develop new business opportunities, and provide innovative solutions to our clients, assisting them in achieving their objectives while also fulfilling your own.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Acquisition: Research industry trends and market dynamics affecting clients in your territory.
- Prospective Client Identification: Identify and research potential clients within your assigned area.
- Sales Strategy Development: Create sales strategies that emphasize the products, services, values, and solutions offered by Gordon Food Service, and present these strategies to potential clients.
Strengthening Client Relationships:
- Conduct regular visits to all clients within your territory.
- Perform business reviews to assess existing clients' needs and identify opportunities for sales growth.
- Provide training and consultative services to clients to align their current and future needs with GFS products and services.
- Spot opportunities within existing client businesses where Gordon Food Service can add value through our offerings.
Sales Territory Management:
- Balance the acquisition of new clients with the enhancement of existing client relationships.
- Coordinate visits to both prospective and current clients.
Training and Development:
During your initial period, our goal is to equip you for success. This includes engaging you in various training programs, such as e-learning, classroom sessions, role-playing, job shadowing, and mentorship from experienced sales representatives. Throughout this time, you will learn:
- How to utilize Gordon Food Service systems and tools for managing client relationships.
- About the products available to our customers.
- The sales process for engaging new clients.
- How to build relationships within the extensive network of resources available to you as a Gordon Food Service representative.
- Best practices for developing relationships with both current and prospective clients.
- Strategies for effectively managing your sales territory.
Position Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A Bachelor's degree and/or culinary certification is preferred.
- Registered Dietician accreditation is preferred.
- At least 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience.
- A valid state driver's license and a safe driving record are necessary.
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.
